Finding a location might seem daunting, but with a little research and some planning, you can create a landscape that will be enjoyed for generations. A well planned tree layout can even increase your property value and reduce your heating and cooling costs!

Below are things to consider before heading out to the tree nursery.

SITE LOCATION

Imagine what the tree will look like once it is fully grown in the area you want to plant.

  • Look up, are utility lines present?

  • Look to the sides, will it grow into anything?

  • Look down, are there any underground utilities?

HEIGHT

Will the tree fit the space once its fully grown?

Would you want to create a tree arch over your driveway?

How much space will it take-up? Round and V-shaped will create the most shade.

How long will it take until your tree reaches full height?
